Creative Scholars Academy Philosophy & Mission Statement

My program philosophy stems from the belief that there are no greater natural scientists and engineers than young children.
At Creative Scholars Academy young children are provided with tools, experiences, and teacher interactions that promote hands-on inquiry based learning through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) concepts.
It is never too early to start STEAM education. “Learning by doing” is encouraging inquisitive learning through play, providing the children with structure in which to build upon their natural inclination to explore, to build and to question.

My mission is to be a facilitator of learning, helping young children explore, observe, ask questions, predict, and integrate their learning. Coupled with all of this I am also aware of the importance of play, that is how I believe young children learn everything about their world. Our field trips are referred to as learning expeditions because they are always complimentary to our curriculum content.
For example; when we study about farm animals we will visit a farm and get real life exposure to the animals and the duties expected on a farm. Ultimately at Creative Scholars Academy, we believe learning can happen anywhere, and building upon and forming new knowledge is what every experience we offer is all about.
